Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy : £70.00 p/h  (£100 | 90 minutes)

Massage Therapy involves working the soft tissue of the body, to ease day-to-day stresses and muscular tension, and promote relaxation. It helps to increase delivery of blood and oxygen to the treated areas and can also be used in support of other therapies to assist in the rehabilitation of muscular injuries. Massage is used for a variety of reasons, varying from relieving stress and tension and to unwind, or regular treatments to cope with physical, mental and emotional problems. Easing muscular aches and pains and relieving discomfort.

Since attending  my initial Massage therapy training in 1993 at West London School of Therapeutic Massage, I have attended many workshops to compliment my massage skills and since then  have developed my own unique style of Holistic Massage which incorporates certain aspects all all the holistic therapies I have learnt. I have found that my style of massage is perfect for most medical conditions as well as aching muscles and every day discomfort, giving you the time to get away from it all and relax. Relaxation is a key part to my treatment for you and I always spend time to ensure your comfort and that your needs are met.

I can help you forget all the tensions of the day and feel yourself again.  I offer a wonderfully relaxing, yet deep massage, flowing movements working deeply into areas of tension. Working on all the systems of the body, I can loosen tensions, increase blood supply, calm the heart rate, increase lymph flow, increase detoxification, calm the nervous system and slow and deepen breathing, as well as many other beneficial effects on the body.

I will always spend time at the beginning of a treatment with a consultation to establish your needs that day for your treatment. One type of massage does not fit all and I will tailor make your treatment to fit with your needs and what I feel you need that day.

As an Aromatherapist I will quite often blend oils to compliment your treatment, alternatively I can use a plain base oil if you prefer. If you are highly stressed or have difficulty relaxing I may  talk you though a short meditation at the beginning of your treatment to help your relaxation process, something similar to this one that I recorded here https://youtu.be/9RgRG8971g8

If you have never had a massage before and are feeling a little nervous, then I can help you through this, ensuring that you feel comfortable and are happy throughout the whole of the treatment, it will be one great step for you into a wonderful world of holistic treatments to help you feel the best that you can.

Benefits of massage therapy (taken from FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists)

Massage therapy  is used by people for a variety of reasons. Some use it to simply relax and unwind, while others have regular massage to help them manage or cope with specific physical, mental or emotional problems. Many aspiring and professional athletes have massage before and after training and competing, in order to stay in optimum condition and aid recovery.

There is a growing body of evidence to suggest that massage can be effective in helping to treat certain chronic conditions, such as fibromyalgia and low back pain. In guidelines produced in 2009 by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), manual therapies – including massage – are recommended for the early management of persistent, non-specific low back pain.

I haven’t felt this good for years.
It was as if Jacqui had a map of all my points of pain and she worked through them.
The music is tasteful and aromas and oils are spot on.
Jacqui’s passion for her work is evident from the moment you enter and stays with you for a long while after.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience and good value!

Oscar, Ruislip.

I can’t explain it but every time I see you I just feel calmer, with or without treatment. You have something very special.

Yes, indeed we have made big progress. Last week’s wheel poses were unbelievable. Usually I need at least 3 attempts to get into a decent pose, but now, I can just push up, there is still some tightness there, but absolutely not comparison

Jacqueline, you wonderful woman. I cant praise your magic hands enough
