Having completed advanced reflexology training with Barbara Scott (Association of Reproflexology) in 2021, on how to support women through their menopausal experience, I am delighted to now be able to offer you treatments to help you manage your menopausal symptoms.

As an aromatherapist, I also have advanced training in aromatherapy supporting menopause and can use this knowledge and beautiful essential oils  to enhance your treatments with me.

We all experience peri menopause/menopause uniquely  and every one of us will have varying symptoms that can affect our every day well being and the transition through peri menopause to menopause can be a very difficult one and one that I am experiencing currently. There is a lot more information out there now and slowly people are opening up about the difficulties and challenges they are experiencing which is fantastic, the more we talk the more it helps us.

Diagnosis of Menopause

Current NICE Guidelines …..

For women who are over 45 …..

“Diagnose the following without laboratory tests in otherwise healthy women aged over 45 years with menopausal symptoms :

  • perimenopausal based on vasomotor symptoms and irregular periods. Vasomotor symptoms are usually described as night sweats, hot flashes, and flushes and vaginal dryness.
  • menopause in women who have not had a period for at least 12 months and are not using hormonal contraception
  • menopause based on symptoms in women without a uterus.


With a whole host of vitamins and supplements out there its hard to know which ones to choose for us, we may try one for a month it doesn’t work and hop onto the next one, constantly chopping and changing and nothing really makes us feel any better.

For me, regular reflexology sessions defiantly help me feel more balanced and less irritable!

With your initial appointment with me, we will have an in depth consultation, discovering your main concerns and how these concerns impact your daily life. From here I can devise a treatment plan for you using  various techniques to help you. For some there may be homework to do which may involve hand reflexology for which I will provide you tutorials to use at home. I look at this treatment as a path where I can support you with monthly treatments, a one off treatment is unlikely to help you for ever but a continued regular treatment can really help you manage your  experience.

Reflexology is the most amazing treatment for anything hormonal and I really am so excited to share these techniques and knowledge with you. The menopause does not have to be a negative experience, it can be a time when we really get too know ourselves and we often need to make huge changes to our daily life to get through it. For me menopause is a massive learning experience and on the whole a positive one.

If you have decided to use HRT (and there are lots of positives to this), this way of working and treatment plan will not be for you – you would be better off booking my regular reflexology treatments,  but if you have not started HRT and are trying other methods I really encourage you to try some sessions.
